I am passionate about systematic graphic design that helps people understand complex information. The level of complexity is measured by the viewer's corresponding level of education and experience as well as the time-frame for which the information must be understood.

Infographics

This infographic explains the complex process of how Wave Picking works at this distribution center. This information is essential for area managers and operators new to the facility, so that they can make better decisions to maximize the workflow to the pack stations.

SORTER SYSTEM VISUAL
The task involved visually presenting the physical sorting system in a way that would encourage efficient and effective understanding of it.

TEMPLATES AND GUIDEBOOKS

Developed a robust library of templates in Microsoft Word for a team of Instructional Designers, including customization of default MS files so all team members were in brand whenever they opened a new document. This sped up the design process by 20% and reduced style guide adherence errors.

INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGN

In collaboration with the Quality Department, designed a guide for managers to conduct process adherence observations among their team members, increasing on-the-spot coaching opportunities, employee performance, and overall facility quality.

Educational Guides

One of a series of Educational Guides created for the Environmental Science Center. New York City school teachers use this guide to prepare their students with a knowledge base of a certain topic before a field trip to the center. Then, after their hands-on experience, the teacher will present a post-visit lesson back in the classroom.

PERFORMANCE SUPPORT TOOLS

Bridged formal learning and informal learning by placing effective visual solutions in the field. These solutions are just-in-time learning aids designed to assist employees with on-the-job support, enhancing team member performance and overall DC quality on all outbound orders.

Team members always have access to the trouble shooting process in their area with badge sized job aid, and process key ring job aid.

In conjunction with increased awareness, managers placed these simple performance support tools, printed as 'bumper stickers', on work stations that helped increase quality in this area by 20%.
